Psychosocial Support
Supporting your emotional wellbeing through every stage of the cancer journey.
Singapore Cancer Society provides a whole-person approach to cancer care that addresses the emotional, practical and social challenges that may arise during a cancer journey.
Our social workers and therapists are specially trained to support you and your caregivers as you navigate fears, uncertainty, and life changes following a cancer diagnosis, treatment, or remission. They are also ready to help you, your caregivers, and your loved ones access relevant information, financial resources, and support groups along your cancer journey.
Emotional and psychosocial difficulties are common among people affected by cancer — you are not alone.
Our team is here to listen, guide and support you through these experiences.
Ways We Support You
Psychological Support
Our social workers support cancer patients’ psycho-emotional, practical, and decision-making needs, helping them cope with uncertainty, reduce distress, and navigate the cancer journey to live life meaningfully.
Sexual Health Support
Cancer and treatment can affect intimacy, body image, and sexual confidence. Our clinical sexologist provides a safe, professional space to address these changes, strengthen communication with your partner, and guide you towards renewed intimacy and wellbeing.
Return To Work Programme
Returning to work is a vital step in recovery, restoring confidence, identity and financial stability. Our holistic programme supports cancer survivors in rebuilding careers and reintegrating meaningfully into society.
Art Psychotherapy
Guided by a registered psychotherapist, this programme offers an alternative pathway for individuals to process and express their thoughts and emotions—especially when experiences are difficult to put into words.
Where Sessions Are Held
Our counselling sessions are conducted in a private and welcoming environment at our headquarters. When needed, home visits, off-site sessions and video consultations may also be arranged.

If you are coping with the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis, treatment, or remission, our social workers and therapists provide a safe and supportive space to process your feelings and navigate the challenges ahead.
Cancer Survivors
Survivorship can bring new emotional and practical adjustments. We support survivors as they rebuild confidence, rediscover purpose, and transition into life beyond treatment.
Family Members & Caregivers
Supporting a loved one through cancer can be emotionally demanding. Our social workers and therapists help caregivers manage stress, strengthen coping strategies, and find support for themselves as well.
Anyone Experiencing Emotional Distress Related to Cancer
Even if you are unsure where to start, our team is here to listen and guide you towards the support that best meets your needs.
