Dr Eileen Poon is a Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist at the National Cancer Centre Singapore. She obtained her medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2007 and completed her postgraduate internal medicine and residency training in Medical Oncology there. Dr Poon is also the Vice President of the Singapore Society of Oncology (SSO) and has a special interest in Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology (AYAO). She initiated the AYAO support group at NCCS in 2017 and spearheaded an AYA team to enhance cancer care for this group. Dr Poon is passionate about clinical education and aims to inspire young doctors to reach their full potential. She believes in individualising teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and recognises the importance of passing on not just scientific knowledge but also the art of good doctoring.
